WELL DONE DARREN

Kazuhiro Tanaka of Team Orange finished the 2007 D1 Series with a win, and his team orange mate Nobushige Kumakubo took the 2007 Series points win.

Darren McNamara [Ireland] made it to the round of 8 where he was eliminated by Ken Nomura. As a homage to his opponent, Ken flew the Irish flag for the remainder of the completion.

D1 USA update...

All is going well for the 2 Irish, Darren is doing great and learning the track VERY well hitting some great runs. Damien had to get a D1 license, and the licensing was today. He spun out on one of the runs, and was a little off on the clipping points of another, but he looked REALLY good on his other run. He ended up getting his D1 license, and qualified 3rd out of approximately 25 drivers (only 6 got licenses). Tomorrow is qualifying so hopefully the Irish do well for the main final event on Saturday, then they will also compete in All Star Sunday. Keep checking www.driftlive.com for updates too...
